Thelma P. Newgard Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Seabrook - Thelma P. Newgard, 86, of Seabrook Beach, died Friday, August 19, 2016 at the Portsmouth Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Seabrook on January 29, 1930, the daughter of the late Samuel W. and Harriet N. (Sargent) Bagley. Thelma was a lifelong resident of Seabrook. She was a member of the Seabrook Senior Citizens Club and the American Legion Auxiliary, loved to travel and was an avid bingo and card player. She enjoyed her occasional trip to Foxwoods Casino. Family members include her sons, Clifford D. Newgard, Jr. and his fiancée Marie Spaulding of Seabrook and John Valli of Maine; three daughters, Sherri E. McGinley and her husband Kevin of Seabrook Beach, Florence E. Merrill of Seabrook, and Gail B. Eaton of Seabrook; her grandchildren, Nick Ross and his wife Vera of Seabrook, Tammy Brown of Rochester, Jenny Lynn White of Manchester, Ryananne Newgard of Salisbury MA, Jared McGinley of Seabrook Beach., Maryn McGinley and Mathew McGinley of Seabrook Beach, John Valli, Jr. of Amesbury, MA, Jason Valli of Maine and Ron Valli of Maine and her brother Charles H. Bagley of Seabrook. She also leaves several nieces and nephews, great grandchildren and a great, great grandchild. Thelma was the widow of Clifford D. Newgard, who died in 1995. She was also predeceased by her brother Gordon 0. Bagley, her sisters Alice P. Eaton and Doris E. Museneci and her granddaughter Elyse McGinley. Visiting hours will be from 4 to 7 pm on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home – Crematory, 811 Lafayette Rd., Hampton. Services will be held on Thursday at 10 am in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Wildwood Cemetery, Seabrook. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
