Theresa A. Swan

July 14, 1955 - December 14, 2020

Hampton – Theresa A. (Kelley) Swan, 65, a Hampton resident since 2002, died peacefully on Monday, December 14, 2020 at her home. She was born in Lynn, MA on July 14, 1955 a daughter of the late James J. Kelley and Kathleen E. (Kelley) Rust. Raised in Saugus, MA and later Canoga Park, CA, where she graduated from Canoga Park High School. Theresa worked as a manicurist for several years at the Wentworth by the Sea Hotel in New Castle, but most recently worked for Arcadia New England Home Care as a homecare specialist for the elderly. Family and the well being of others was always of the utmost importance to her as she continually put the needs of others before herself. Volunteering for the soup kitchen, being a caretaker for the elderly, and serving on the Board of Directors for the Rush Foundation for Children were some of her many charitable contributions. She enjoyed bowling, horseback riding in Calabasas, CA, water skiing and arranging the Kelley family reunion. Surviving family members include her children, Bryan Swan and his wife Amanda of Hampton, Bradley Swan and his partner Jessica Dworog of Kassel, Germany and Matthew Swan of Big Bear Lake, CA; siblings, Kathleen K. Rush of Hampton and Robert J. Kelley and his wife Ann of Dover; grandson, Sawyer K. Swan; nieces, Helen Hobson and Ann Wiesman; nephew, Stephen Kelley; grandnieces and nephew, Morgan Hobson, Lauryn Hobson, Brooke Ehlers, Taylor Ehlers, Sienna Rush, Brynn Russ, Lydia Kelley, Louis Kelley and cousins, Daniel Kelley and Cheryl (Kelley) Hayward. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Maureen T. Kelley; nephews, Michael J. Rush and Eric R. Rush and brother-in-law, Edward M. Houck. Theresa was a loving mother and wonderful aunt who was dearly loved by all who knew her, she will truly be missed. Visiting hours will be held from 5 – 7 PM on Monday, December 21, 2020 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH 03842. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in the St. Theresa Church, Rye Beach and will be available by live stream on the church’s website by clicking here . Burial will be in the spring at the Little River Cemetery, No. Hampton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Michael Jon & Eric Ryan Rush Foundation for Children , 314 Lafayette Road Hampton, NH 03842.
