Hampton – Tracie A. Curran, 51, of Hampton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 17, 2016 after a hard fought, courageous battle with a lengthy illness. She was the beloved daughter of Roy E. and Renate (Kran) Callihan of Hampton. She was born in Oahu, HI on October 8, 1964, but grew up in Hampton. She graduated from Winnacunnet High School, Class of 1982 and later went on to attend New Hampshire College where she graduated with a business degree in 1987. She went on to work many years in the finance industry in and around the Boston area. Tracie was an amazing sister and friend who had a big heart and was loved by many. She always went out of her way to help others and make them feel loved. She was an avid cook and loved cooking for her family & friends. One of her favorite places to relax was in the sunshine at the beach and she especially loved spending her vacations in Aruba. Her absolute greatest joy though was her beloved son, John Lang of Pembroke, MA. In addition to her parents and son, Tracie is survived by her husband Stephen Curran of Hampton; her sisters, Kristen Hanlon and her husband Paul of Sherborn, MA, Michelle Callihan and her partner Serge Allain of Framingham, MA; her brother Mike Callihan and his wife Margaret “Peggy” of Dunbarton; four nieces, Shannon, Ashley, Marina, Addison and a nephew Ethan. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A visiting hour will be held from 10 to 11 AM on Saturday, July 23, 2016 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home & Crematory, 811 Lafayette Rd., Hampton. A memorial service will follow immediately at 11 AM in the funeral home and then burial will be held at the High Street Cemetery, Hampton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
