Warner B. Knowles
February 22, 1945 - February 4, 2022
Seabrook - Warner B. Knowles, 76, passed peacefully at his son's home surrounded by family on February 4, 2022. He was born in Newburyport, MA February 22, 1945 to the late Lester Knowles and the late Lillian (Beckman) Knowles. He was raised in Seabrook, and resided there for most of his life. Warner was employed by the town of Seabrook for 40 years beginning as a laborer and became superintendent for both the water and sewer departments before retiring in 2012. He was instrumental in providing utilities to Seabrook's residents. He met his friend of over 50 years, Matthew "Skip" Lewis, while working at the Navy Yard in Kittery, ME. They founded the Shiloh Christian Church in 1979 in Warner's living room that is still active to this day. Friends and family will remember him as an avid fisherman and hunter. In the spring he fished at Frost Pond in Maine with Skip, fall was for deer hunting, and summers were spent fishing for striped bass off the coast with his son, Brian. He leaves behind his children from his first marriage with Vivian (Moghabghab) Priest, Susan Nicoll and her husband Mike, Brian Knowles and his wife Stacey, and Lisa Awlia; grandchildren, Morgan Knowles and partner Taylor Brown Sr., Monica Luce and husband Jesse, Jumanah and Rayyan Awlia, Elly Green, Kevin and Linda Handley; great-grandchildren, Taylor Brown Jr., Freya Knowles, and Autumn, Melody, and Josiah Green. He is also survived by siblings, Larry Knowles, Kathy Noel, and Walter Knowles; nieces and nephews; and his devoted friend, Joan Knowles. We will miss his wisdom, advice, and dry humor. Warner is a Christian and looks forward to reuniting with his family and friends in Heaven. Visiting hours will be from 6-8 P.M. Monday, February 7, 2022 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, February 8, 2022 in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. The service will be directed by Pastor Matthew "Skip" Lewis of the Shiloh Christian Church of Sanford, Maine and Pastor Bruce Small of the Four Corners Church of Seabrook. Warner will be laid to rest in Hillside Cemetery, Seabrook. In lieu of flowers please donate in Warner's memory to the Four Corners Church, 5 Farm Lane, Seabrook, NH 03874.
