Seabrook – William James “Bill” Guy, 90, of Seabrook, formerly of Newburyport and Salisbury, MA, passed away peacefully 0n Friday, September 10, 2021 after a brief illness. Bill was born in Newburyport on October 4, 1930, a son of the late James and Rose Mary (Salvatore) Guy. He was raised in Newburyport and after high school enlisted in the United States Army. Upon his honorable discharge from the Army, Bill worked as a carpenter with his brothers constructing many homes throughout the area. He worked for a time as the handyman at Staples Park in Seabrook before retiring in the early 2000s. Bill loved to dance and met his wife, Dorothy (Roberts) Guy, while dancing at the American Legion in Dover. He was a very active man and enjoyed tending to his yard and staying busy. Bill was proud of his service to our country and was a member of the Raymond E. Walton American Legion Post 70 in Seabrook. In addition to his beloved Dorothy, Bill leaves his daughters, Mary Fullerton and husband Bill, Barbara Brinkman and husband Ed and Lee Gerrish, his son George Staples, his 6 grandchildren and a large extended family Visiting hours will be from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday, September 16, 2021 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. A Graveside Service with military honors will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday at the Hillside Cemetery in Seabrook.
