Audrey G. Brindle

Seabrook, NH – Audrey G. Brindle, 74, of Seabrook, died peacefully, Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Exeter Center. She was born December 8, 1941 in Exeter, a daughter of the late Charles Burditt and Ruth (Felch) Durkee. A proud lifelong resident of Seabrook, she graduated from Winnacunnet High School then chose to raise her family in the hometown she loved. Audrey lived a simple life, surrounded by those she loved and who loved her. She was affectionately known as "Meme" to all and her open door policy let all know they were welcomed at any time. Family members have fond memories of friends and family gathering for a meal, then all would stay for night-long games of Canasta and Skip-Bo. Meme loved any game that would ensure a table surrounded by those she loved. She would happily play peek-a-boo and hide and seek with the children; jump on the swing and swing along with them; host many, many popcorn and movie nights. Family members include her children, John Brindle, Shelley Morin, Gerald Brindle Jr., Kelley Gallant and her husband Chuck, Cory Kristiansen and her husband Bob and Mark Brindle; brother David Burditt; sisters, Frances Burditt and Ruthann Burditt; grandchildren, Crystal, Jessica, Shaunna, Tia, John, Gerry, Ashley, Kaitlin, Robert, Emily and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She had a special bond with her niece Sherry, and her children Sherida, Sarah and Douglas. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother Charles Burditt Jr. All would agree that Audrey was strong-willed, extremely stubborn and very vocal with her views. There was never a question about where Meme stood on an issue, but there was also no question of her intense love for her family. She deeply loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was so very proud of them all. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Jimmy Fund, c/o Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
