Barbara-Ellen Binette

Hampton – Barbara-Ellen Binette, 93, of Hampton, fondly remembered as “Bumps” and “Mimi” passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 21, 2022 at her home with her daughter’s by her side. She was born in Exeter, December 22, 1928 a daughter of the late John F. and Florence W. (Kelleher) Walsh. Barbara was raised in Exeter and graduated from Robinson Female Seminary with the Class of 1946. A homemaker raising five children was her priority that brought her much joy. She also was employed by New England Telephone for a brief time and also worked at the family owned restaurant the former Tula’s Restaurant in Exeter. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, enjoyed crocheting, flowers and listening to her police scanner. She shared 53 years of marriage with her husband, Raymond R. Binette who predeceased her in 2002. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her son John A. Binette in 2015 and sisters Kathleen Foss, Florence Marcotte and Marguerite Field. She leaves four children, Susan Malizia and her husband Michael, Mary-Ellen Ajemian and her husband Dennis all of Hampton, Cynthia Scamman and her husband Ralph of Stratham, Bridget Pollock and her husband Timothy of Hampton, daughter-in-law Joyce Binette of Hampton, 14 grandchildren, John and Jason Binette, Michael and Paul Malizia, Jessica Kenerson, Jennifer Leblanc, Rebecca Scherbon, Matthew and Melissa Ajemian, Nicole, Courtney and Katie Scamman, Benjamin and Christopher Pollock, 17 great grandchildren, and was looking forward to expecting her 18th great grandchild in October, her sister Phyllis Wentworth, several nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 P.M. Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 289 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Interment will be private.
