Carol Fermery

Hampton Falls ~ Carol Kelley Fermery of Hampton Falls, NH, passed away peacefully in her home on April 6, 2024 a few short months after her 90th birthday. She was born on February 12,1934 in White Plains, NY, the daughter of the late Frank J. and Hazelle (Vallette) Kelley. Carol graduated from Briarcliff High School in Briarcliff, NY with the Class of 1951. She later graduated from the St. Luke’s School of Nursing in New York, NY as a Registered Nurse. During her nursing career she worked at St. Luke’s, Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco, NY, and for the Mount Kisco Medical Group. In 1955 Carol married Jack P. Fermery. They were blessed to have three beautiful daughters and shared 69 years of marriage. During their marriage they were fortunate to have traveled and vacationed around the world with friends and family. While raising her family, Carol was involved with the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and served on the Mount Kisco Day Care Center Board of Directors. Carol and Jack retired to Hampton Falls, NH in 1996, where Carol worked at Talbots in Stratham for 10 years. Carol and Jack spent many hours tending their flower gardens, and took pride and joy in their work. Their gardens received admiration from friends, neighbors, and passersby, and received numerous accolades from the community. Carol was never without a feline friend, and she was an avid supporter of local animal rescue organizations. Carol was preceded in death by her siblings Laurence, Donald and Marjorie Snow, Frank Kelley Jr., and her beloved granddaughter, Deniece Clancy. Left to cherish Carol’s memory are her husband, Jack P. Fermery, her three daughters, Karen Clancy (Willie McMichael) of Albany, NY, Kim Fermery Kosow of Exeter, NH, and Linda Fermery (Stephen Darr) of Winchester, MA. She will be missed by her three grandchildren, Jason Kosow (Kimberly Grasso) of Boylston, MA, Caitlin Kosow (Gary Holdgraf) of Southborough, MA, Mallory Kosow (Val Pinskiy) of Chicago, IL, her four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many dear friends, as well as her dear friend from nursing school. A visiting hour will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 27, 2024 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory located at 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH. Services will immediately follow at noon in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and share in the celebration of Carol’s life. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
