Donna Marie Sarson

Hampton- Donna Marie Sarson, 70, of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, August 25th, 2026 at Exeter Hospital with her devoted family by her bedside. She was a daughter of the late Dennis J. and Joan D. (Jerome) Sarson. Donna was born in Chicopee, Massachusetts on May 24th, 1956. As her father was in the Air Force, she spent the next couple of years abroad with her family in England, France, and Germany. The family moved to North Hampton in 1965 and she attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Dover, NH and graduated with the class of 1974. From there, she attended the Lynn Hospital School of Nursing, and graduated as a registered nurse in 1979. Donna spent her life always caring for others; this included both her family and career. She would join the Seacoast Health Center starting in 1977 and would spent the next 37 years providing care for others. She would meet her partner, Scott Malcolm, in 1982 and they would then go on to have their daughter, Katelyn, in 1993. They would also spend many summers at Sebago Lake in Maine with their local catamaran sailing group. They would also enjoy a lot of time at their condo on Lake Winnipesaukee. Donna was a loving, hardworking, and loyal nurse, friend, and partner. Outside of caring for others, she enjoyed crocheting, as well as many other types of crafting. She had a longtime love of her Dunkin' iced coffee and Diet Pepsi. At one time, even one of her health home aides had convinced her that a boost drink was a chocolate Pepsi. She absolutely loved spending any time she could with her family and friends, leading to many family gatherings, meetings, and trips to places like Walt Disney World in Florida. She is survived by her partner, Scott Malcolm of Hampton, and daughter Katelyn Sarson-Malcolm of Hampton, her siblings; Patrick Sarson and his wife Carole of Sanford, ME, David Sarson of Rochester, Lynn Pittendreigh and her husband, Mark, of Exeter and Mari-Kate Sarson of Hampton. Donna also leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Frederick Sarson in 2016 and her brother Steven Sarson in 2019. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, September 18th, 2026 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. A prayer service will be held on Saturday, September 19th at 11 AM in the funeral home, with burial to follow in the High Street Cemetery, Hampton.
