George W. Snow Jr.

Hampton- George W. Snow Jr., of Hampton, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 9, 2026. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on June 28, 1932, George was the son of the late George W. Snow Sr. and May (Every) Snow. He was raised in Everett, Massachusetts, and graduated from Everett High School, Class of 1950. Following high school, George proudly served his country in the United States Army for three years. In 1957, he married his beloved wife, Helen (Davis), and together they shared 68 years of marriage. They began their life together in Malden, Massachusetts, where they raised their family, before moving to Hampton, New Hampshire in the early 1970s, where they made their home for the rest of their lives. George worked as a salesman for Ingalls Cronin and later for International Paper, retiring in his 60s. He had a lifelong love of sports, especially golf, and was a proud member of the Portsmouth Country Club. George will be remembered as a kind, gentle, and generous man whose patience and warmth touched everyone who knew him. He was truly one of a kind—a rare and remarkable person. To those who loved him, he wasn’t just special—he was unforgettable. He brought positivity into every room, never spoke ill of others, and led by quiet example. He was, in every sense, a man to admire and aspire to be. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Snow; his children, Robyn Snow, William Snow and his wife Cassie, Robert Snow and his wife Maribeth, and Maureen Stone and her husband Geoffrey; his daughter-in-law, Noreen Snow; his son-in-law, Thomas O’Brien; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Louise Clivio. In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his children, David Snow and Laura O’Brien. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in George’s memory may be made to the New Hampshire SPCA, Wounded Warriors, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in honor of his generous spirit. George was, simply put, one of the most amazing people his family has ever known. His legacy lives on in the lives he shaped and the love he gave so freely.
