Jane Anne Shaw

Rye- Jane Anne Shaw, 85, passed at Webster at Rye in Rye, NH on Sunday the 9th of August 2026. She was born in Providence, RI , daughter of Earl and Dorothy Noelte. She was the loving wife of James “Jim” Stephen Shaw, who passed Feb 13, 2004. They were happily married for many years. She was a graduate of Cumberland High School and the nursing school in Laconia NH. Through her career as a nurse, she worked in various settings including the ER, Pediatrics and as a University Nurse. She also worked as a buyer for Xaloy in Newburyport MA. She retired in 2002 and enjoyed much of her retirement taking trips around New England and spending time with family. Jane was actively involved in her faith, a devout member of Christ Unitarian Church in North Hampton, NH. She found great joy in the simple things. Jane was an incredible artist and loved all things creative. Many of her paintings are found around her families homes. Jane loved people, whether it was her family, friends or strangers, she will always be remembered for her kindness to others. She could be found at the McDonalds in Seabrook, NH most Tuesday mornings, having coffee with her friends. If you know Jane, you know her love of coffee - hot and black. Another love of Jane’s, the water and boats. Most of her time with Jim and her son, Mike, were spent on the ocean. Even when she visited Wisconsin, she could be found down by the lake, enjoying an ice cream while watching people fish. Jane was an avid sports fan, especially for the New England Patriots and Milwaukee Bucks. She enjoyed following the teams and looked forward to each game. She is survived by her son, Michael Shaw, and three grand-daughters: Meghan, Emily and Amanda Shaw, all of Pewaukee, WI; her two brothers, Earl Noelte of Geneva, Switzerland and Bruce Noelte of Tilton, NH. She is resting with her husband Jim, parents Earl and Dorothy and brother William “Bill” Noelte. A visitation will be held at Remick and Gendron Funeral Home in Hampton, NH on September 11 from 11am to 1pm with a service to follow starting at 1pm. She will be buried at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Hampton Falls, NH, resting beside her husband Jim.
