Joann Elaine Ware

Salisbury, MA - Joann Elaine Ware, 86, of Salisbury, passed away at Port Healthcare in Newburyport, MA on Monday, June 29, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was the loving partner of the late Walter Jacklin. Born in Lynn, MA on July 6, 1939, Joann was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Iles) Longmire. Raised and educated in Lynn, Joann attended Lynn Classical High School and graduated in 1957. Joann traveled extensively from her early twenties on, to Europe, Mexico, Aruba, Hawaii and Vegas being some of her favorite places. Joann worked multiple job at the same time as a bookkeeper at a shoe factory, Jack Goulds and gas company. Numbers were her thing. Later on she’d find her passion with antiques opening a store called Lantern and Breezeway antiques with her twin sister June and brother in law Duane and then continuing on her own as Breezeway antiques. Retiring at the age of 84. Joann was a huge sports fan!!! Loved all the Boston teams, especially the Red Sox and Patriots. She loved going to Red Sox games and finally experienced the Green Monster seats with her daughter. She enjoyed going out to eat, doing puzzles, reading, loved watching cop shows. She loved going to the casino especially going on her annual Mother’s Day weekend to the casino with her daughter. She loved her animals Daisy, Pee Dee , Sweet Pea, Tobey and Molly. She was a Deacon at Trinity Church in Seabrook, New Hampshire. She was a member of the senior center in Salisbury mass and attended weekly chair yoga, and balance classes. Joann is survived by her daughter, Susan (Williams) Lostimolo and her husband Jacob of Salisbury, her step-daughters, Brenda Cuestas of Ayer, MA and Cheryl O’Loughlin of Ayer. She is also survived by her Neices, Nancy Mercer and her husband Brian of Newton, NH, Karen Bowden and her husband Hal of Newton and their two children Abigail and Mary, and Diane Robinson and her husband David of Peabody, MA and Diane’s children, Nicole and Jeremy Amero. She also leaves her two dear friends, Suzanne Goodwin and Barbara Courtney. In addition to her parents, Joann is predeceased by her husband Robert Ware and her sister June Wahl. Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Joann for a period of visitation on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH 03842. A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity United Church, 103 Lafayette Road, Seabrook, NH 03874. Burial to follow at Central Cemetery, 60 Hale Street, Beverly, MA 01915.
