JoAnne Vera Davidson

Hampton - JoAnne Vera Davidson of Hampton, NH, a beloved mother, friend and grandmother, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones, ending her courageous journey with cancer and leaving a legacy of strength and hope. Born in Gardner, Massachusetts on September 22nd, 1948 JoAnne is survived by her children, Lauren Ault of Portsmouth, NH, Heather Durant and her husband Greg of Newmarket, NH, her adored grandson Colton Robert Durant, and several nieces, nephews, and an abundance of friends. JoAnne is predeceased by her parents, Floyd Joseph Ward and Jessie Vera Whitley, her sisters, Janet Smith and Lynda Joyce, her nephew Mark Thomas and the love of her life, Paul William ‘Skip’ Davidson. JoAnne had a deep love for travel and she found joy in exploring new places and experiencing cultures. She loved music and art and as an avid member of the Seacoast Modern Quilt Guild, loved creating beautiful quilts to share with others. Her zest for life and love for adventure were contagious, and she inspired those around her to embrace all that life had to offer. She was a passionate attorney who dedicated her career to fighting for the rights of children and ensuring they had a voice in the legal system. Her dedication and compassion touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. JoAnne leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and dedication. She will be remembered for her fierce advocacy, her kind heart, and her unwavering strength. While she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Family and friends will gather to honor and remember JoAnne for a period of visitation on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. A celebration of life will take place on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, 525 Lafayette Road, Hampton. JoAnne will be laid to rest beside her husband following the service at High Street Cemetery, 140 High Street, Hampton.
