Marguerite Clair Levesque

Hampton - Marguerite "Peggy" Clair Levesque, of Hampton, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Thomas Levesque. Born in Methuen, MA on November 7, 1939, Peggy was the daughter of the late Max and Mary (Moore) Putchler. Raised and educated in Lawrence, she was the Valedictorian of her graduating class at Northern Essex, where she earned her degree in Early Childhood Education. She was a proud member of the Wellness Warriors, a dragon boat team for cancer survivors, for nearly 30 years and remained an active participant until the age of 81. One of her greatest accomplishments was her lifelong dedication to children. For more than 30 years, she owned and operated a community daycare in Lawrence, Massachusetts, where she provided a safe, nurturing, and loving environment for countless children. Although there were so many, she remembered every face and every pair of little feet that walked through her door. We know this to be true because she shared endless stories with her family about each of them, with details that never wavered. She had a remarkable gift for understanding and connecting with children, helping them discover their strengths and grow into the best versions of themselves. Her compassion, intuition, and unwavering commitment made a lasting impact on generations of children and families, and she was truly a gift to her community. Even in her last days, sweet memories of her daycare echoed through her thoughts and brought a smile to her face. After retiring and moving to Hampton, New Hampshire, she devoted even more time to the people she loved most. She cherished every moment spent with her husband, four children, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Nothing brought her greater joy than being surrounded by her family, whose lives were enriched by her love, guidance, and presence. She was completely adored by her family, and her absence is deeply felt and irreplaceable. The love and lessons she shared throughout her life will live on through each and every family member she’s left behind. In addition to her husband, Peggy is survived by her children, Thomas Levesque II of Hampton, NH, Shelly Bonaccorsi and her husband John of Stratham, NH, Camille Mawhinney and her husband Guy of Plaistow, NH, Natalie Bresnahan and her husband Paul of Hampton, NH, her sister, Maureen Martino and her husband Ron of Newburyport, MA, as well as her Grandchildren, Monique Zweibon, her husband Zach, and their daughters, Azalea and Aria of Ridgefield, CT, Thomas Levesque III and his husband Brian Cote of Miami, FL, John Bonaccorsi II of Boston, MA, Tonicia Hardy, her husband Robert, and their daughters Charlotte and Vaeda of Seabrook, NH, Jakob Bonaccorsi and his fiancé Alexa Mutch of Charleston, SC, Kurt Gauthier and his wife Ashley of Mount Pleasant, SC, Liam Bresnahan of Hampton, NH, and Max Bresnahan of Hampton, NH. Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Peggy for a period of visitation on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH 03842. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 289 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH 03842.
