Michael E. Condon

Michael E. Condon, 70, of Salisbury, Massachusetts, and a longtime former resident of Methuen, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in Salisbury. He was born on August 28, 1955, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, to Edward and Lorraine (Rano) Condon. Michael spent six decades building a successful career in the restaurant and catering industry. Following his first venture, Mike’s Do Drop Inn on Conduit St. in the 1980s, Michael launched a series of successful hospitality businesses including Mike’s Family Catering, Councilor’s Catering Facility, Uptown Chicken, and stewarded two Methuen institutions: The Red Tavern and The Sweetheart Inn. Most recently, he was employed by the Atlantic Hospitality Group, in which Michael held multiple roles, most importantly, Chef de Cuisine at Capri restaurant and Roundhouse manager at the Historic Carousel Pavilion, his two most passionate sources of pride, inspiration, and enjoyment. In addition to his business accomplishments, Michael was deeply dedicated to public service. He proudly served the City of Methuen as a city councilor, as a Greater Lawrence Technical School committee member, and as a member of the Methuen Exchange Club. Work was a big part of Michael’s life, but when he did slow down, he loved being surrounded by friends and family. One of his greatest passions was the effort to bring a carousel to Salisbury Beach, a dream he realized in 2023. Michael is survived by his sisters, Cathleen Bergeron and her husband Thomas Bergeron, Colleen Sebastian, Kelly Armstrong and her husband Gayton Armstrong, stepson Brent LaRosa and his wife Kathryn Porch; as well as several nieces and nephews. Extended family includes Irene Condon and Cheryl Ouellette. Michael also leaves behind his best friend, Wayne Capolupo, whose friendship meant the world to him. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, LeeAnn LaRosa Condon, and by his parents, Edward Condon and Lorraine Rano. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 2 p.m.-6:30 p.m., at the Seaglass Restaurant, 4 Oceanfront, North Salisbury, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to benefit the Salisbury Beach Carousel in Michael’s memory.
