Mina Fabiano

Peabody, MA - Mina H. Fabiano, 92 of Peabody passed away on Dec. 28, 2022 surrounded by her family. Mina was born in New York, NY on November 14, 1930, only daughter of the late Frank Rexach and Margarita Capo She was the loving wife of the late Ralph R. Fabiano, who predeceased her in 2010. Their 58 years of marriage were filled with love of family, happy times with friends and their joy in going on adventures together. A licensed bilingual social worker, Mina worked for many years serving the community she lived in. While at North Shore Elders for many years, she worked diligently and tirelessly so senior citizens could qualify for and obtain available social services offerings. Her last employment before retirement at North Shore Children’s Hospital as a Discharge Planning social worker kept her focus on children and their parents, often providing her trusted translation skills for doctors, nurses and other care providers to patients and their families. Her calming and kind demeanor, in times of stress, seemed to say, “don’t worry we’ll figure this out together”. It’s these qualities along with her compassion and dedication to all those she encountered that made her so special. Affectionately known as Mrs. Fab, she was a joy to all who knew her and she made new friends everywhere she went. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her friends, her most treasured dog and cheering on the New England Patriots and the Boston Celtics. One of her greatest joys was keeping up to date on the lives of all of her kids, grandkids and even great grandkids-always wanting to hear about health, school, sports, jobs, birthdays, vacations, graduations, even the day to day small details mattered to Mom/Nana. She kept it all straight and was happy to be a part of it all. Mina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend and mentor. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children Ralph Jr. and his wife Susan of Danvers, Mina Holland and her husband Larry of Florida, Mark and his wife Kathy of Pennsylvania, John of Maine, Elizabeth Burke and her husband Edward of New Hampshire along with 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Neville D’Avila and grandchild Nicholas Fabiano. Burial will be private.
