Reinaldo Orozco Lopez

Greenland – Reinaldo Orozco Lopez, 55, of Greenland and formerly of San Juan, Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 18, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Reinaldo was born in Jersey City, NJ on November 25, 1967, a son of Miriam Lopez and Isidro Orozco. He shared over 17 years of beautiful marriage with his beloved wife, Eli Ayala Ocasio. Reinaldo spent all but the first two years of his life in San Juan. He had always been a hard worker and his mother remembers him taking his first job at 8 years old. Reinaldo always loved playing softball and baseball and dreamed of one day playing in the major leagues. He was a lifelong New York Yankees fan and would watch their games whenever he got the chance. His last job in Puerto Rico was with Pepsi America before moving to the United States. In 2007, he and Eli moved to Portsmouth after Eli took a position with the Department of State. Reinaldo worked for We Care Dry Cleaners of Portsmouth for several years where he was known for his outgoing personality and hard work. Since 2016, Reinaldo has worked as a material specialist with Lindt Chocolate of Stratham. He always strived to be his best at work and brought out the best in others by setting the example. He was an inspiration and always remained positive, even through his recent health issues. He and Eli loved to dance and travel. His favorite places to visit were anywhere with a beach, including Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. He was a proud man and enjoyed caring for the house he and Eli shared. He was always meticulous and quite creative with his landscaping and home improvements, including the handmade fire pit in the backyard and the custom tilework in his garage. Above all else, Reinaldo was a great man, a wonderful son, the best husband, a most devoted father who loved to talk to his children and a great provider for his family. He was a sweet and humble man with never a harsh work for anyone. He will be sadly missed by those he loved and those who knew and loved him. In addition to Eli, the love of his life, Reinaldo is survived by his mother Miriam of San Juan, his father Isidro of Luquillo, his son Reinaldo Andres Orozco of Orlando, FL and his daughter, Andrea Paola Orozco of CO. He also leaves his three siblings Camille, Aileen and Alex and many nieces and nephews. Services will be private.
