Rina Bridget Gaughan

Hampton - Rina Bridget Gaughan, 86, of Hampton, formerly of Holyoke, Mass., passed away peacefully into eternal life on Thursday, May 14, 2015. She was surrounded by the loving care and comfort of her family. She was born in Chicopee, Mass., on October 8, 1928, a beloved daughter of the late Arthur and Emilienne L. (Roy) Archambault. Rina was raised in Chicopee, Mass., and attended local schools as well as the Boarding School of the Presentation of Mary at Highland Pond, VT. She had resided in Holyoke for over forty years and was employed for over 30 years with the Titeflex Corporation of East Springfield, Mass. She was a licensed beautician during that time. She moved to Hampton in 2006 to be near family. While in Hampton, Rina was a faithful communicant of St. Theresa's Catholic Parish in Rye. She leaves her devoted daughters, Gail Gaughan of Hampton, with whom she resided, and Christine Calcinari and her husband Frederick of Kensington; her loving sister and dearest friend, Jeanette Labonte of Chicopee and her brother, Ernest Archambault and his wife Janet of Aldenville, Mass. She also leaves her devoted and loving companions, Sr. Doris Ouellette, CSC, Sr. Theresa Malouin, CSC and Sheila Grey. In addition to her parents, Rina was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 40 years, Daniel J. Gaughan who passed in 2007; her dear sisters, Sr. Mary Luce, born Edna Archambault, Sr. Emilienne Marie, born Yvette Archambault, both of the Presentation of Mary, Doris Guyott and her husband, Raymond, Claire Hamel and her husband, Roland, Lucienne Pollender and her husband, Raymond and her brother-in-law, Henry Labonte. In addition, there are numerous loving nieces, nephews, and their children. Family and friends may visit from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2015 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home – Crematory, 811 Lafayette Rd., Hampton. A prayer service will follow the visitation starting at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Family and friends may also visit from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20 at the St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St., Chicopee, MA. Burial will be next to her husband in the St. Rose de Lima Cemetery.
