Robert J. "Bob" Maurais

York, ME – Robert J. Maurais, 61, of York, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 28, 2021. He was born in Worcester, MA on December 8, 1959, the son of Gloria (Manganello) Maurais and the late Robert D. Maurais of North Berwick, ME. Raised in Worcester, MA, he graduated from Shrewsbury High School with the Class of 1978. He went on to have a successful career in banking and then Customer service manager for over 18 years, at Water Treatment Solutions, Hampton, NH. Bob started his journey with WTS as an installer, however he quickly transitioned to customer service manager due to his extensive knowledge, patience, and ability to diagnose any issue a customer may encounter. One of Bob's greatest gifts was his grace and kindness towards customers and co-workers. His laughter, anecdotes, and fun sense of humor will be greatly missed! Bob was an amazing cook and baker always having a new recipe to add to his already extensive collection of recipes. Bob enjoyed his homelife, with cooking, baking and gardening, always ready to decorate and entertain for every holiday and of course his elaborate parties were legendary. Bob was a lover of life; all beings of life were important to him. Bob has a larger-than-life personality, and his presence was magical, always a cheerleader for whomever needed his support. Bob’s health started to decline after a heart attack in 2008. We were blessed to continue having him in our lives until 2021, living everyday to the fullest. His family and friends are gratefully blessed with all this extra time we had him in our lives. “Life is like a book. Bob was preceded in death by his siblings, Faith St. Martin, and Judy Barsamian, Worcester, Ma, and Larry Vigeant, Holden, MA Visiting hours will be held from 4 - 7 PM with a time for sharing remembrances at 6 PM on Thursday, July 8, 2021, in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home – Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton.
