Sarah Ann McCoomb

Portsmouth – Sarah Ann McCoomb, 32, of Portsmouth, died in her sleep October 1, 2017. Sometimes life gets packed into a few short years. Our bright, beautiful, witty intelligent daughter has proceeded to the next adventure. For those of us left behind, we are devastated. Born during the Live Aid Concert on July 13, 1985 in Portsmouth, Sarah loved all kinds of music. She attended Portsmouth schools, graduating with the Class of 2003. Customer service skills were honed at Market Basket Lafayette Road and later as a teller at Service Credit Union. In 2013 Sarah followed her dream and attended aviation school in Ft. Pierce, Florida attaining her private pilot license, instrument rating, multi engine rating, commercial pilot license and flight instructor certification. She continued at Aviators as a flight instructor, working toward the hours necessary to fly commercially. Her passion was aviation and she could talk for hours about flying. Sarah loved travel, cooking, knitting and reading. Her knowledge of the Harry Potter books was phenomenal. Future adventures of zip lining, roller coasters, trapeze flying, skiing, motorcycling, singing Disney songs in the car with her sister and reading while sitting in her paddle boat will continue in her memory. Remember the smile, the sense of humor, the beautiful blue eyes, the good times and the laughter. Keep those memories safe. Life isn't always easy, the struggles are many, but the rewards of even a moment of loving and living life with Sarah are worth any tears we share today. Sarah will be lovingly remembered by her father, Thomas J. McCoomb of Portsmouth and his companion, Ruth Robertson; her mother, Dianne Perkins Kimball and stepfather Rod A. Kimball of Jensen Beach, Florida and North Berwick, Maine; her sister, Molly Mae McCoomb of Portsmouth, grandparents Thomas and Elizabeth McCoomb and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents Robert and Leah Perkins. Visiting hours will be from 6-8 P.M. Friday, October 6, 2017 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, October 7, 2017 in the funeral home.
