Stacia E. O'Neil

Hampton - Stacia Ellen (Belyea) O’Neil, 62, of Hampton, NH passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 30th, 2025. She was born in Portsmouth, NH at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard to Delbert and Judith Belyea. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was a devoted and loving mother to her two daughters, Kelsi Kautz and her husband Michael; and Kirsten Sivetts and her husband Ryan. She loved her four grandchildren dearly. She is survived by her mother, Judith Belyea, and her three sisters; Sara Leavitt and her husband Allan, Sheryl Long and her husband Allan, and Sandra Dubois and her husband Robert. She loved her many nieces, nephews and extended family members dearly. Stacia loved her family and friends dearly, and was loved by many. She will be deeply and dearly missed. Stacia attended Somersworth High School and went to the University of New Hampshire 1980-1984. She received a job right out of college installing computer systems at resorts and places all over the country. She had a decorated career with IBM as a software engineer and worked there for over 25 years. She was accomplished, driven, successful, talented, and an inspiration to many. She touched many lives and brought so much joy to family, friends, and everyone she met. Her passion to help her family, friends, and anyone she came in contact with, was admirable. Stacia had many hobbies and enjoyed them everyday with such passion. She loved to travel, especially with her children. Some of their favorite memories were in New Zealand, Ireland, London, Florida and Colorado. They traveled all over the US for soccer tournaments and Staci took tremendous joy in watching her daughters play sports. She was their biggest supporter and advocate. She was a talented piano player, and recently started learning the harp. She enjoyed working out, biking along the beach, hiking in the mountains, playing pickleball, skiing, paddleboarding and swimming. She loved gardening, and teaching her daughters and grandchildren how to garden. She loved learning everything about health. She was a lifelong learner, sharing her knowledge with others desiring to make a positive change in a person’s life. And she did. She always thought of others before herself. Due to the sudden nature of her passing, we will be doing a private viewing with family. We will be holding a celebration of life in May, which will be open to the public. More details with a date, time and location will be listed on this site by the end of next week. Please check back for more information. Where do I park: The event will be hosted in the Granite State Room (second floor to the left of the food court) at the Memorial Union Building on the University of New Hampshire campus. To reach the Granite State Room from the backside of the Memorial Union Building (MUB), you'll enter the MUB through the glass doors on the left with the wheelchair ramp, take the stairs on the left up one level, walk straight towards the Food Court, and then take your first left. There is metered parking on main street and on side streets, the closest parking lot is on the back entrance of the MUB in parking Lot C. Parking is free in this lot on the weekends. Directions to Parking Lot C: From Route 4: West exit at Route 155A and turn left toward Durham. * *Follow 155A through a short stretch of fields to the UNH campus. After the traffic light, go past the main campus and in the middle of town, take a right onto Mill Road. Parking C Lot is on the right in less than a block across from the entrance to the shopping plaza. The MUB is the large building at the rear of the lot. Enter and go up to the Food Court Level. To reach additional parking in B Lot, go past C Lot and take the next right. Entrance to B Lot is a short way down College Road on your left. From Interstate 95: Take I-95 to Exit 4 (NH Lakes and Mountains, Spaulding Turnpike). Continue North to Exit 6W and follow Route 4 West. Exit at Route 155A and turn east toward Durham. Follow 155A through a short stretch of fields to the UNH campus. There is additional parking available on main street in Durham, a short walk to the MUB or in Parking Lot B.
