Wayne William Snow Sowers

Hampton - Wayne William Snow Sowers, 61, of Hampton, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Wayne was born on June 29, 1965 in Gainesville, FL to the late Gleason Snow and Jacquelyn (Gregory) Sowers. He was raised in Hampton, graduated from Winnacunnet High School with the Class of 1983 and attended the University of New Hampshire. A talented Master Carpenter, Wayne owned and operated WWS Home Development, and his craftsmanship can be seen throughout the New Hampshire Seacoast. His son, Alexander, worked alongside him for many years, learning the skills, knowledge, and pride in craftsmanship that Wayne so generously passed down to him. Through Wayne’s guidance and instruction, Alexander carries forward a part of his father’s legacy. From 2007–2010, Wayne also served as Project Manager for construction at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Wayne loved sports and was a faithful fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Celtics. He was also a talented volleyball player and played in several leagues in the Hampton area. Volleyball remained a special connection between Wayne and his daughters, Kaylyn and Leah, who played for many years. He took great pride in knowing they shared his love of the sport and enjoyed watching their volleyball journeys over the years. Wayne loved being with nature… appreciating sunrises and sunsets, birds and animals… and enjoying camping, canoeing, relaxing and meditating around a bonfire in the evening. He was especially devoted to his loyal canine companion, Zuko. Wayne is survived by his children, Alexander Sowers of Mount Dora, Florida, Kaylyn Sowers of Gainesville, Florida, and Leah Sowers of Tampa, Florida, and their mother, Dana Syska of Yalaha, Florida; his four brothers, Gregory Snow Sowers and his partner, Manuela Kutzer, of Rye, New Hampshire; Scott Snow and his wife, Kendra, of the Outer Banks, North Carolina; Craig Snow and his wife, Emily, of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina; and Kyle Snow of Brevard, North Carolina. He is also survived by his nephews, Cameron Sowers, Matthew Sowers and his wife, Kateryna, and their children, Leon and Luka, and Nicholas Sowers, all of Rye, New Hampshire; as well as Timm Kutzer of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Manuela's son. Additional surviving family members include his stepmother, Martha Snow of Brevard, North Carolina; his aunts, Alyson Hall and her husband, John, of Margate, Florida, and Beverly Gregory Moore of Acworth, Georgia; his cousin, Robert L. Moore and his wife, Tonya, of Kennesaw, Georgia, and their children, Madison, Mackenzie, and Alexandria; his sister-in-law, Lauri Rozek and her husband, Peter, of Dover, New Hampshire; and his devoted friend, Lorraine Weimerskirch of Duncan, South Carolina. A Celebration of Life will be held on September 18, 2026 from 2-4 pm at Great Island Common, 301 Wentworth Road, New Castle, NH.
