Lisa P. Trottier

Hampton – Lisa P. Trottier, 60, of Hampton, formerly of Chester, NH, passed away peacefully on October 9th, 2024 at home after living with a terminal cancer diagnosis for 7 years. She was born in Woburn, MA on March 17, 1964—a daughter of the late Earl and Mary (O’Brien) Friot. Raised in Woburn, MA, she graduated from Woburn High School with the Class of 1982. Shortly after, she married her high school sweetheart and future husband of 40 years, Robert “Bob” Trottier and together they moved to Derry and shortly after Chester, where they raised their family. A proud Paraprofessional, she cherished her time working in special education with children at Chester Academy. Over the years, Lisa became synonymous with the sunrise as she loved taking daily photos from her balcony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean at Hampton Beach. If you were lucky enough, some of you may have even seen her pictures featured on WMUR News and spotted her favorite seagull Bill in them. With a cosmo in hand and sea salt in her hair, she was truly unstoppable and the life of every party. She had a knack for making you feel completely cared for, while simultaneously being brutally honest with you. If you wanted the truth, you sat next to Lisa. She will be missed by those people who were lucky enough to call her a friend, and even those who were lucky enough to call her an enemy (of which she had a few—they may not even know who they are). Lisa spent her best days traveling with her family, cruising to beachy paradises, packing up the family motorhome to go roller coaster chasing, and laughing a wicked lot. Lisa loved her husband, who was her partner in crime and co-pilot for life’s adventures. Their love was a bizarre, yet beautiful blend of playful banter and unwavering support, unless it came to the television as Lisa often got to watch her paranormal investigation shows, unless, of course, the Patriots were playing. Her greatest joy was being a mom and becoming a grandmother reinvigorated her life. She loved to cook and rarely met a Pinterest recipe she didn’t want to try and cook for her family. Her family will remember her shepherd’s pie, French toast casserole, homemade sauce, and fried dough for breakfast. She loved her family fiercely and dreamed big for each of them. While she may be gone today, her favorite paranormal investigators may tell us a different story tomorrow. In addition to her husband, surviving family members include her children, Dana Trottier and his spouse Jared Sherrow of New York, NY, Jesse Trottier and his spouse Rachel Garen of Derry, NH; sister, Joan Kritz of Lexington, MA; grandchild, Matthew Trottier of Windham, NH; and grandfurbabies, Lucille “Lucy” the Sweet, Gumbopot, and Ms. Dolly Pawton. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sons, Robert and Shawn Trottier and siblings, Steven Friot and Jean Wells. A celebration of her life will be held from 4-6 PM on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH, where we will share stories and toast to Lisa. Please wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt or beachwear in her honor. Services will immediately follow at 6 PM in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
